URGENT CALL TO ACTION: Special Session of the Legislature November 9!

URGENT CALL TO ACTION!

Special Session of the Legislature November 9!

THE UTAH HIGHER-ED BOARD JUST APPROVED THE NAME OF UTAH TECH TO BE SENT TO THE LEGISLATURE WHICH WILL PROBABLY BE ON THE AGENDA FOR A SPECIAL SESSION ON NOVEMBER 9, 2021!

YOUR ASSIGNMENT:

Please contact each of the 22 Senators on this list NOW!

There are 29 Senators, but, we are not listing the Democrats or the bill sponsor.

Email, text, leave a voice message and call them!  If you have done this in the past, please do it again and again!

Plus…

You all know people in other areas of the State, please forward this list to them and ask them to contact the 22 Senators!  Senators need to hear from their own constituents too!  We need these Senators to be bombarded with pro-Dixie messages from around the State and across the globe!  It’s no surprise that Pres. Williams and Brad Last are trying to get the name change on the Special Session to be held on November 9.  They want this issue out of the way and so do members of the legislature so they don’t have to deal with it next year during the General Session.  They hoped they could do this quietly and quickly.

The future of our university and our community is at stake, please contact the Senators!

Simply ask the 22 Senators to

  1.  VOTE AGAINST THE NEW NAME, UTAH TECH!
  2.  Keep the Dixie name change off the November 9th agenda!
  3.  Look at the “DATA”, the surveys and results are NOT factual!  DSU is using false data!
  4.  Realize that the COMMUNITY, ALUMNI and STUDENTS are AGAINST THE NAME CHANGE!
  5.  Realize that the name, Utah Tech has become a laughing matter across the State!  Plus, it does NOT fulfill the mandate by the legislature because it does not list the actual “Geographical Region”.  It is bland, generic and a major step backwards for our university and our community!

Please forward and share this message!
