An Open Letter to the Commissioners of Washington County Utah; Victor Iverson, Gil Almquist, Dean Cox

My name is Ilene Hacker, I am an official spokesperson for DSUHC and the affiliate page Protect Utah’s Dixie. On behalf of the members of our organization I pose the following very important question regarding the removal of the word DIXIE from the Dixie Center:

We understand that at the Washington County St. George Interlocal Agency Travel Board meeting on June 29, 2020, a motion was made to table (referred to as a “pause”) the renaming of the Dixie Center to Greater Zion Convention Center for a period of six months. Now that is it tabled (or “paused”) and a decision by each of you is pending, we need to know how each of you stand:

Please answer the question:

Are you in favor of or against the removal of the word “Dixie” from the principal branded name of the facility known as the Dixie Convention Center in St. George, Utah?
